Privacy Policy
Asyncast Corp. ("Asyncast"), the creators of Rocketron, believes that privacy is critical to your ongoing patronage of Asyncast's service, the success of Asyncast, and to the overall vibrancy of the Internet.
For these reasons, Asyncast adheres to
the following privacy principles:
Privacy Principle #1
First and foremost, Asyncast will keep
all of the personal information that
you provided during the registration
process private and confidential
(except as specified below.) Asyncast
may use information that uniquely
identifies you to improve your Asyncast
experience. For example, your zip code
may be used to provide you with
geographically specific weather
information. In addition, Asyncast may
record your interactions with the
Asyncast service in order to improve
the quality of service. All your
personally identifiable information is
strictly between you and Asyncast.
Privacy Principle #2
We use your personal information only
for "group" demographic and
psychographic statistics. Asyncast will
not disclose your individual personal
information, meaning your mailing
address, e-mail address, or phone
number, to anyone unless acting under a
good faith belief that such action is
necessary to:
- Conform to legal requirements imposed on Asyncast or to comply with a legal process.
- Protect and defend Asyncast rights or property; or
- Enforce the Asyncast Terms and Conditions
Privacy Principle #3
Asyncast will not disclose the contents
of any of your private communications
unless acting under a good faith belief
that such action is necessary to:
- Conform to legal requirements imposed on Asyncast or to comply with a legal process.
- Protect and defend Asyncast rights or property; or
- Act under apparently exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of you, our other listeners or the general public.
However, Asyncast may monitor, record, copy and utilize some of your communications to assist us and our partners in testing and perfecting some technical aspects of the service. For example, we might use your communications, or enable our service providers or technology vendors to use your communications, to help us test the service's ability to (1) send and receive messages; (2) conform to connecting networks' technical requirements; (3) understand voice commands (4) conform to the limitations of the service; or (5) conform to other similar requirements. If we do use your communications in this manner, it will be to help us with the operation and improvement of our service.
Privacy Principle #4
As a listener that has registered on an
Asyncast web site, you are
automatically signed up to receive
e-mail messages from us containing
content and service updates and other
matters of interest. Your e-mail
address is strictly confidential and
Asyncast will nt disclose or share it
with any third parties, except as
specified above. You may choose to
discontinue this e-mail service at any
time by visiting the registration page
on our web site.
Privacy Principle #5
Asyncast does not allow children under
13 years old to register or use the
service. In addition, Asyncast requires
all people under 18 years old to seek
the consent of their parents or
guardians before registering for and
using the service, and asks that
Parents or guardians monitor any
minor's use of the service.
Privacy Principle #6
Asyncast may use "cookies" to
store and occasionally track
information on our web site, thus
enabling us to privde you with
customizable and personalized services.
For example, we may use this
information to remember your account
information from session to session. A
cookie is no more than a small amount
of data that is sent to your browser
from a web server and stored on your
computer's hard drive.
Privacy Principle #7
At Asyncast you control your own
personal information. You can alter
your personal information at any time
through the web site you have
registered from (e.g.,
www.rocketron.com) You can also alter
your password at any time through the
same web site. Asyncast reserves the
right to maintain information on
registered listeners who have violated
our Terms and Conditions.
Privacy Principle #8
Like most standard web site servers,
Asyncast uses log files. This includes
internet protocol (IP) addresses,
browser type, internet service
provider (ISP), referring/exit pages,
platform type, date/time stamp, and
number of clicks to analyze trends,
administer the site, track user's
movement in the aggregate, and gather
broad demographic information for
aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are
not linked to personally identifiable
information. We may use a tracking
utility that uses log files to analyze
user movement.
Privacy Principle #9
Whenever Asyncast changes its privacy
policy, we will post these changes to
this privacy statement and other places
we deem appropriate so our listeners
are always aware of what information we
collect, how we use it, and under what
circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
Privacy Principle #10
Asyncast is committed to listener
service and support. If at any time you
believe that Asyncast is not adhering
to these Privacy Principles, or you
have questions about this policy,
please notify us via e-mail as soon as
possible at privacy@asyncast.com. We
will make all reasonable efforts to
promptly respond to your inquiry.
